RECOGNIZING A MORTGAGE SCAM |
Are your payments being applied as late when you sent them on time? Is mortgage insurance being added when you already have it? Is correspondance from your lender NOT being sent to the address you requested? Is it difficult or impossible to contact your lender? Does the person you do finally contact have difficulty speaking and understanding English? Do your monthly statements contradict each other? Is your lender charging fees that aren't valid or don't make sense? Are mistakes admitted but no refund or correction takes place? Does you lender want a deposit before processing your application? Do your loan documents match the disclosure you received earlier? Did you NOT receive a disclosure prior to signing loan documents? |
|
IF YOU ANSWERED 'YES' TO 3 OR MORE YOU MAY ALREADY BE A VICTIM |
There are thousands of lawsuits being filed against lenders for illegal practices. Some are winning homeowners millions of dollars. One company has almost 500 lawsuits pending, some are class action suits. |

WHAT CAN I DO? |
We are not attorneys and we do not recommend attorneys. Go to Google, enter your lender's name and "attorney general class action fraud" without the quotation marks. If you are a victim, you should find many links to other victims and attorneys representing them. Contact an attorney already suing that lender in your state. |
